The Super Bowl LIX rematch has been officially set.
It's been known for months that the 2025 regular season was going to feature another chance for the Kansas City Chiefs to enact some measure of revenge against the Philadelphia Eagles following a devastating loss in last year's championship game. Now the time and place has been confirmed.
Per NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, the schedule has leaked enough to confirm the Eagles' visit to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Chiefs in Week 2. The game is set to be played at 3:25 p.m. Central Time on Sunday, September 14.
FOX is lucky enough to win the broadcast rights to Eagles vs. Chiefs and the ratings payoff should be substantial. The league already rewarded CBS with the Chiefs-Dallas Cowboys matchup on Thanksgiving and the Chiefs-Denver Broncos game on Christmas Day. Share the wealth, as they say.
The Chiefs will undoubtedly be looking for much better results than the rather embarrassing turn in the league's title game last February. The Chiefs lost to the Eagles in their bid for a historic three-peat by a final score of 40-22—and it wasn't even that close, to be honest. Some late-game heroics from Xavier Worthy finessed the final score a bit for K.C.
For the Chiefs, the game will be a test of a rebuilt offensive line after watching the Eagles pass rush feast the first time around. Joe Thuney has been traded and should be replaced by Kingsley Suamataia. The Chiefs signed Jaylon Moore and drafted Josh Simmons to provide further help at the tackle position as well.
The rest of the Chiefs' schedule will be revealed on the evening of Wednesday, May 14 during the league's official reveal at 7:00 p.m. CT.
