Even when the Kansas City Chiefs aren't officially defending Super Bowl champions, the National Football League is going to make sure they remain front and center anyway.

The Chiefs might have fallen to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX in embarrassing fashion, but the chance for a historic three-peat and the sustained success of the league's premier franchise will keep Kansas City in the spotlight for every one of the league's broadcast partners in 2025 and beyond.

It's no surprise, then, to see the Chiefs already linked to prime positions on the 2025 NFL regular-season schedule as early leaks emerge before the major reveal on the evening of May 14.

Since the rumors will come flying quickly, it's important to have a clearinghouse for all the reports that will emerge in the days leading up to the schedule reveal. Here's everything we know about the Chiefs' schedule in 2025. (Keep this page bookmarked for the latest Chiefs schedule updates.)

Chiefs schedule rumors and reports for the 2025 season

Ravens coming to Arrowhead in Week 4

The Chiefs' schedule is looking incredibly front-loaded with the latest rumor that has the Baltimore Ravens coming to Arrowhead in Week 4. Every one of the Chiefs' toughest opponents all seem like they're in the first half of the year.

A meaningless Week 18?

The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly going to be the final contest of the regular season for the Chiefs. This could prove serendipitous in a couple of ways for the Chiefs, either as a sort of bye week before the postseason or as an easier win if things are tight in the race for the division or conference.

Texans visit on Sunday in primetime

We already knew the Chiefs would max out their primetime opportunities in 2025, and one of them will be a fun contest against the visiting Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football at Arrowhead. It will be interesting to see how much better the Texans are with some healthy wide receivers (making some assumptions here), but they also lost Laremy Tunsil this offseason.

Chiefs headed to Buffalo in Week 9

The Bills and Chiefs are always must-watch games for even casual fans, due to the presence of both Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, so there's no denying all eyes will be on this year's showdown at Highmark Stadium in Week 9.

A 15-win duel

This year's game between the Detroit Lions and Chiefs was already one of the more exciting matchups on the calendar for either team, given that they both won 15 games a year ago. While the Lions flamed out in the postseason, their Week 6 showdown at Arrowhead was given an SNF slot for good reason.

Broncos vs Chiefs series set

If you're wanting to get into the minutiae of the schedule, we now know the full Denver-Kansas City series for the season. Christmas Day plans were already revealed earlier this week with the Broncos visiting Arrowhead in Week 17. The latest rumor leaks have the Chiefs making their Mile High visit in Week 11.

Super Bowl LIX rematch set

Patrick Mahomes is hoping for much better protection this time around. The Philadelphia Eagles will be visiting the Chiefs in Week 2 at Arrowhead in what will be the most anticipated early game in the 2025 season. FOX won the rights to broadcast this game that will be a Sunday afternoon affair.

MNF at MetLife

The Chiefs are getting an early Monday Night Football showcase when they take to the road to visit the New York Giants. Will it be Jaxson Dart under center? Russ Wilson? Jameis Winston? Will it even matter?

A Thanksgiving (ratings) feast

If there was any single schedule announcement that caused broadcast execs' heads to burst, it was this one. CBS was gifted a Thanksgiving matchup featuring the visiting Kansas City Chiefs against the Dallas Cowboys in a game that be a surefire ratings bonanza.

Another Christmas Day broadcast

The Chiefs were told by the NFL that their request to be a "fixture" on the holiday wasn't going to be officially granted, yet here they are again—this time in a divisional matchup. The Broncos and Chiefs will be facing off on Thursday, December 25 on Amazon Prime.

Chiefs-Chargers in Brazilian (near) season-opener

It's already been disclosed that the Chiefs will be the visitors in São Paulo, Brazil in a season-opening (for them) game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The AFC West matchup will be the second official game of the season, following the Eagles versus the Dallas Cowboys on the Thursday night kickoff to the regular season on September 4.

Chiefs 2025 home opponents are already set

  • Baltimore Ravens (12-5)
  • Denver Broncos (10-7)
  • Detroit Lions (15-2)
  • Houston Texans (10-7)
  • Indianapolis Colts (8-9)
  • Las Vegas Raiders (4-13)
  • Los Angeles Chargers (11-6)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)
  • Washington Commanders (12-5)

For season-ticket holders at Arrowhead, the home slate is going to be a thrilling one in 2025. However, that makes life extremely tough for the Chiefs to maintain their level of regular-season success. Last year, they won 15 of 17 games, and one of those losses included rolling over for the Broncos in a meaningless Week 18.

That said, the Chiefs' point differential of +59 wasn't all that convincing for many analysts, and given the gauntlet of a much-improved AFC West in recent years, K.C. could have a harder time than they have in years to win the division. Add in scheduled home contests against the Ravens, Commanders, Lions, and Eagles for a brutal stretch for the team and a thrilling slate for football fans.

Chiefs 2025 away opponents

  • Buffalo Bills (13-4)
  • Dallas Cowboys (7-10)
  • Denver Broncos (10-7)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (4-13)
  • Las Vegas Raiders ( 4-13)
  • Los Angeles Chargers (11-6)
  • New York Giants (3-14)
  • Tennessee Titans (3-14)

The Chiefs have an easier time away from Arrowhead, although the schedule is certainly not without its challenges. The AFC West will be tough either way, and the Buffalo Bills are always going to be must-watch viewing. That said, the Giants, Titans, and Jags are some gifts on the schedule to ease the burden of going toe-to-toe with every one of the top contenders for this year's Super Bowl.
